Analysis & Observations on Engraving Porcelain Tile
Optimal Engraving Settings:
The best results were achieved at power levels between 60%-80% and speeds of 100–150 mm/s. These settings produced crisp and consistent engravings with good contrast, making them ideal for detailed designs on porcelain tile.
Impact of Tile Density:
The extremely dense surface of porcelain requires moderate power and slower speeds to create visible marks. Using speeds below 200 mm/s allows the laser to engrave effectively without losing clarity.
Faint Engravings:
Lower power settings (20%-50%) combined with higher speeds (200+ mm/s) resulted in faint engravings that lacked depth and contrast. These settings are not recommended for achieving high-quality results.
Air Assist Impact:
Using 5 PSI air assist minimized debris and ensured the laser beam remained focused, enhancing engraving precision and maintaining clean results.
Line Interval and DPI:
